Elina Conley

Founder and Managing Director

Elina brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience spanning National Laboratories, startups, and global manufacturers, with a track record of aligning cutting-edge R&D with market needs, driving product strategy, and structuring partnerships across the innovation ecosystem.​

Her background includes senior roles in product management and business development at EMD Electronics and Great Lakes Crystal Technologies, where she led global, cross-functional teams, built strategic industry and defense partnerships, and supported board-level reporting and fundraising. Earlier in her career, Elina spent several years at Argonne National Laboratory, shifting from X‑ray optics fabrication into innovation and technology commercialization. She supported the DOE Office of Science SBIR/STTR portfolio, advanced licensing and circular‑economy initiatives, and co‑authored multiple publications and patents in advanced materials processing.

Elina also brings entrepreneurial operating experience as a co‑founder and COO of a sustainability‑focused startup and as an Entrepreneur in Residence with Innovation DuPage, where she advised early‑stage founders on product‑market fit, commercialization pathways, and capital strategy. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (in progress), an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
